No, Grant Has Not Killed Me
I just post on Facebook more than anywhere else these days. But Grant reminded me recently that if I didn't post here, folks would think I had been killed by him. So let me reassure you that he's not killed me. In fact, he's coming to visit all of us this weekend. THEN he might kill us, but he's held off on it for years, so...maybe he'll wait 'til next year to do the job ;)
I like company. I'm glad that Grant is coming to visit us this weekend. Two weekends ago, some ex students of mine came up for a weekend of geek hedonism. That was hellacious fun! We've also had other friends visit us since we moved here (many more than visited us in Easley). Alex and I like that because we're social folks. A big bonus of moving up here is that folks want to visit us...when we live outside of a major city ;) And that's cool!
The other bonus so far is that we're making it off of Alex's salary even though I am not employed full time here. I have the part time job at Total Wine, with the best wine staff in the business, which is why I do a weekend a month at the Greenville store even if I don't live there anymore. Bu that's it for now, and we're doing it. I might teach in the spring at a local tech college for a couple of classes to ease our bills, but I don't have to do full time. I don't have to. Wow. That's an odd feeling!
Anyway, we're doing great and Grant is killing other people, so no worries about us ;)

I've been honing my force choke ability, so the food this weekend had better be good. Otherwise, the pets get it.

If he does kill you, from whom will DestructoGirl get clothing? Thus, in self-interest, I volunteer myself and my two offspring as your bodyguards. We're available. All you have to do is yell.
I can send you my spare leg for defense! Hey, a titanium leg can definitely be used as a weapon!! I'm glad you're still alive and doing well. I miss your awesome writing. Fortunately, I get to see you on Facebook now. =)

Glad you're not dead. A Kira-less world would be a much less interesting place, of that I'm certain.
