Don't Try This At Home
I just thought it was time for a public service announcement.
If you are engaged in hot and heavy sexual activity with your loved one, no matter HOW damned intoxicated you are from alcoholic intake, do NOT shout out, "I CHOOSE YOU PIKACHU!" at the moment of climax. It will likely make your sig other laugh, but then unable to continue. See what I go through to save you from pain?

I just spent an hour discussing corporate ethics with my eight year old daughter. We watched a video called The Meatrix earlier, and this was part of a larger discussion about capitalism and business decisions vs. morality and ethics. I couldn't BELIEVE how much my daughter followed and how she participated avidly in the discussion. Yes, she's briliant, but wow! Why did she even WANT to enthusiastically go over this topic for so long? She loves to think. She loves to analyze. She loves to ask questions like why, what if, and how come. Sure, it's annoying sometimes when I just wish she'd take what I'm saying and run with it. However, on the other hand, I couldn't be prouder for how she's turning out. My daughter is not afraid to question authority. That alone is a beautiful thing.

"I CHOOSE YOU PIKACHU!" - that's hilarious. Sounds like something I'd say - and that made me laugh even more.
Gee Kira, thanks a bunch for the sex tips. How is it you come up with all those? Maybe I can use them in another 20 years or so.
You and your daughter might enjoy this:
A-Team Business Ethics
You might guess I got it from Ray, but T.Rev furnished it.
Now this reminds me: Once when I was a kid -- somewhere between 7 and 10 years old -- I asked my mom so many questions one day that she screamed at me to shut up, and then complained to Dad when he got home that I had been driving her crazy that day. Serves me right for being so curious. ;/
She should look into becoming a critical theorist. The pay's not stellar, but the press you get is awesome, lol!
"PIKA-PIKA-CHUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Is still acceptable though, right?
Kira, darling, there are probably worst things that one could say in that situation. Dang if I know what any of them are.
Damn funny.
I've seen both the Meatrix and the Meatrix II. Both are very disturbing for an adult, so I can appreciate Ari's comprehension of them.
now theres a story there.......
at least it wasnt squirtle!
isn't pickachu the cute yellow pokemon guy? what made you/him think of THAT?
You can have the sex over again, you only get the laughter once.
I say go for it!
So what's a better shout?
"I choose you, Choo Choo"? Would that work?
i discuss avidly with my parents - its a good thing. For a chinese family, it's shocking!
too funny, Kira...nothing like giving your partner a case of the giggles during THAT moment.
Your kids are absolutely amazing. Of course, knowing the influence that you and Alex provide for them, I'm really not surprised.
roflmao. pikachu. too funny. i got a couple of kids like yours, love reading the stories you posted about them. sure makes the drives a lot of fun, doesn't it?
Jezzy--well, it's goofy things like that that makes them love us, right? ;)
Joe--well, I showed the A-team ethics to Alex and he was amused. Ari doesn't know what the A-Team is. Imagine that lack of education there!!! And I don't want to make it sound like I'm the world's best mom that way, Joe...I enjoy my daughter questioning the world, but it's not like I enthusiastically answer every question she dishes out. Sometimes after the thirteenth "what if?" I make my excuses to go do something else ;) She DOES drive me crazy with her questions sometimes, but I'm still very proud of her (and let her know it).
JPD--I usually address you as Angie, but now that I have another Angie posting on my blog, I think I'd better use your nick to avoid confusion! Yes, Ari could do that. She needs a job wherein she can think and speculate a lot or I think she'll get bored!
NWJR--I'm not sure. Why don't you try and get back to me on that one? ;)
Amanda--no! Somebody did that??? No shit! Who? ;)
X. dell--she had so many questions after the Meatrix that we didn't watch part II. And yes, it made me want to blow more money at Whole Foods for our meals ;)
Tony--true! at least its...uh...the hot pokemon, right? haha!
Laura--alcohol is an amazing thing, you know? My daughter likes all sorts of Japanese shows like Sailor Moon and Pokemon, so I've gotten to watch a fair bit.
Val--well, I really DO believe that laughter and sex SHOULD go together. It's all supposed to be fun, right?
Hoss--well, it's better than "big moo" or "lotsa goo" right?
Fatty--actually, that DOES surprise me! I have a good friend in Brisbane who is also ABC, and he insists to me that he, along with his brother, never talk to his parents about anything.
Angie--thanks! Alex makes the greatest "other daddy" around for the kids. Of course, after how I pinned you guys in the kitchen at Grant's place and rambled for hours about how great they were, I think you are required to say that my kids are amazing...haha! But I appreciate it. I'm lucky as hell to have such wonderful people in my life!
JD--sometimes the drives are very entertaining with some of the stuff they come up with...and other times, I start to drool and foam at the mouth. I think every parent knows what I mean when I say that! haha!
lol, i totally know what you mean.
well, breaching the generation gap is something most asian families never do. I'm lucky my mum is more westernised than most.
