I think that the Meredith Brooks' song, "Bitch," summarizes me rather nicely. Or, if you prefer, X. dell says I'm a life-smart literary scholar with a low BS tolerance...that also works!

Really, Nothing Else Needs To Be Said About Today....

Yes, it's been that kind of day. Seriously.

Are you referring to the sixth or the seventh?

Either way, I'm glad you're out of he day. Kinda reminds me of everyone's relief when 1/1/2000 rolled around, and everyone realized they were still here.

...nahhhh it's today. Today included some of the fun of yesterday PLUS a mysterious tummy illness of my son's that made me have to get labwork and xrays done on him. Woohoo! But it's over, we survived, and all is ok now.

I can't believe that blogger is finally going to let me comment. I forgot what I wanted to say. =o( Oh well - I guess the main thing is to ask if little Jared is okay? And to wish you a much better day today.

Just found this for my Emerging Scholars. Based on some of the things you've written, I think you'll enjoy it...

MR: Thankfully...they are!

Amanda: actually, he's five and a half, so it's now ten and a half years. Woohoo! I'm training him up right. Alex will teach him to put the towel in the dryer for you too :)

Rob--thanks! I am always glad when I can call victory to a bad day.

SC--*hugs back* thanks dear :)

NWJR--see, you've got it...the key to enjoying life. It's about paying attention to the small POSITIVE details!

Angie--I think Jared is doing a little bit better. What makes me nervous is that he is with his father tonight. I gave Rob about five thousand instructions...but he's not as good with the nursemaid stuff as I am! The doctor thinks what will happen is that Jared's stomach problems will slowly improve, but he told me that if he's not feeling noticably better by Monday, I am to try to take him back in at that time. The lab work came back all good; the xrays showed some slowing in the intestines. He feels this slowing causes air pockets, and the pains that make Jared cry are severe gas. It mostly worsens at night. Sigh. He thinks it was caused by a virus, and now it should slowly get better.

Mandy--you're SO right. He's been good to me this weekend, spoiling me just as I needed. In fact, that may be my next blog!

McG--How the hell did you retire that young? Damnit, you must share your secrets!
